I spent four years living in Stockton, CA and had many occasions to visit the City of Sacramento.

My favorite part was Old Town Sacramento,
probably still is one of my favorite places. The smell of the waffle
cones, and the sound of the horse and buggies going across the cobble
stone streets.
There are many places to eat and of course little shops that sell numerous items to attract the out of town folk.
Usually when we fly into Sacramento this is the first place we go and grab something to eat. We have found a few favorite places 🙂

My3sonz and “The Delta King” which is now a Hotel.

When I graduated from High School……that Fall I left
for Christian Life College in Stockton, California  (my poor mother was
left all alone, hindsight….).

On this trip to California we were able to go by the old Bible
College where my husband and I both attended. It is now a rehab place,
but “Oh, what memories”.
They let us look around outside
some of the areas, but not all of it.  Many of the buildings have been
changed and the campus looks somewhat different.

The front parking lot of the Bible College (and yes, the rental car agency
gave us some cool cars to drive, anything to help the mundane drive up
Hwy 99).

 Taking pics and reminiscing

 Bible College on Cherokee Lane

These new fences over to the left kinda made me forget where this pic was at, but while I was a student this first door to the right was the music classroom. Such a familiar sight with a gazillion memories.

This is the Church across the street from the Bible College, we never used this one for Chapel, we used one down the street. However, I believe my Bishop was here when they used this building.

Sammy’s 24th Birthday…….I say this every time, but where does the time go?? I remember the day he was born, the time has fluttered away like a leaf blowing in the wind.

So happy and proud to call him ours, thankful for the Blessings of God!!

For those of you that are over 15, you may remember the little book that has sadly almost been forgotten……. the picture album.

I remember looking at photos for hours when I was a kid, trying to relive the images in my mind of vacations in the past. And/or trying to figure out who in the WORLD was that person in the picture!!!

My boys also enjoyed growing up with the experience of pulling all of the picture albums off the shelf and going one by one through them all. Of course no one wanted to put them back on the shelf…..

This new generation only knows of photos on hard drives or random picture books we have had someone print out for us. While I will agree with you those books are quite amazing… I have tried having some printed myself, but most of our pics are hidden somewhere on a computer or cell phone.

This blogs purpose was for my immediate family and also for all of our out of town family to enjoy those pics that maybe they would never see but would enjoy sharing the moment with us.

So all this being said, if you’re not family and you look at this blog over the next few months while I play catch-up, you may wonder how Christmas may appear two times in the next few weeks or wonder many things!! LOL

Just remember when you look at this blog, you are going to the shelf and pulling out a photo album……

Pictures mark time, yet at the same time they are timeless!

Blogging in all of its glory comes and goes, but few bloggers remain diligent at this process :{

I for one fell off the wagon, sort of because of the craziness of life and also because of the iPhoto to Photo update several months (years?) ago.

Not sure how many of you are Mac users out there, but when the change took place all of my 16,000 (yes, for reals) photos got dumped into what seems like an endless file that is all unorganized and mixed up. I for one, with many others do not like the new Photo that Mac is running.

This problem has had me bewildered as to how to sort them out so that I could blog again.

However, that type of figuring out I didn’t have time to do, so therefore the blog has suffered.

I recently came across a writer who addressed this issue so that I can temporarily sort out my photos and then move them to a external hard drive and do my best to figure out the new Photo.

It is inevitable that we must move forward but I needed a way to sort out all these past pics.

If any of you have had this same issue I will post a link to the article. Just a reminder, this is not a forever solution, but temporary. We must conquer the new Photo 🙂 although I hope there will be updates to help make it better this fall.
